MARCH 10, 2026 COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OFFICIAL PROCEEDINGS Board of Commissioner Meetings are held each Tuesday morning in the Seward County Courthouse at 9:00 a.m., except for the first Tuesday of each month when meetings will be held at 8:30 a.m. Notice of each meeting is posted on the Courthouse bulletin board and on the Commissioner’s room door. The agenda for all meetings is kept continually current and is available for public inspection at the County Clerk’s Office during normal business hours. The agenda is held open until one business day prior to the meeting for appearance before the Board. Mary Dolan, a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution organization, was present to give an update on the Seward County Abandoned Cemeteries Project Plan. Tim Kallhoff, Weed Superintendent, was present with Paul Moyer from Nebraska Department of Agriculture, to discuss the NE Dept of Agriculture (NDA) Annual Noxious Weed Program Evaluation for 2025. Held Executive Session for personnel. Approved one-month lease agreement with Rose Equipment for a Crack Seal Kettle. Commissioners gave reports of their activities. Approved authorizing County Clerk to advertise for the mowing of abandoned cemeteries. Approved signing a Letter of Support for the Village of Utica’s FY2027 Congressionally Directed Spending (CDS) for Federal Funding for Drinking Water Project. Approved signing letter of support to Congressman Flood’s office to request funding for 420th Road paving project.
