MARCH 10, 2026 COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OFFICIAL PROCEEDINGS Board of Commissioner Meetings are held each Tuesday morning in the Seward County Courthouse at 9:00 a.m., except for the first Tuesday of each month when meetings will be held at 8:30 a.m. Notice of each meeting is posted on the Courthouse bulletin board and on the Commissioner’s room door. The agenda for all meetings is kept continually current and is available for public inspection at the County Clerk’s Office during normal business hours. The agenda is held open until one business day prior to the meeting for appearance before the Board. The Board has the right to modify the agenda to include items of an emergency nature only at such public meeting. Jonathan Jank of the Seward County Chamber gave an update of the organization. Officials gave updates of their departments. Commissioners gave reports of their activities. Approved signing letter of support to Congressman Flood’s office to request funding for 420th Road paving project. Approved amended liquor license application. Approved short form plat in D Precinct and a replat in M Precinct. Held Public Hearing for and approved a Re-zone in J Precinct. Held Public Hearing for and approved permit for an upgrade to an existing wireless tower in I Precinct. Approved 62.5 hours of catastrophic leave for Employee No. 1537093. Veterans Service Officer, Ray Foreman introduced Paul Rexroad as the Veteran of the Month. Approved proposal/contract from Commercial Restoration Group (CRG) for Courthouse tuckpointing. Approved adoption of 1 & 6 Year Road Plan. Approved the use of Perma-Zyme Soil Stabilizer on 3 test spots and approved the funds for the purchase of a water trailer. Approved Road Construction Crew Member job description. Approved funding of the Road Construction Crew budget and yearly plan for April 1, 2026 through June 30, 2026 Approved permit to upgrade existing tower in H precinct. Held Executive Session for personnel and potential litigation. Members of the public spoke during the public discussion. Discussion was held on Public Transit update.
