Loretta Ann Anderson, of Seward, was born Feb. 7, 1939, to Walter and Arvilla (Deinert) Ficken in rural Milford.

She was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church. She attended school through the eighth grade at School District #71. On June 9, 1957, Loretta was united in marriage to Lyle Anderson in Lyndon, Kansas. Loretta was a homemaker and worked as a bookkeeper for Berger Auto Parts. In her free time, she enjoyed playing cards, board games, dominos and doing puzzles. Loretta liked to travel and has been to all 50 states. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a lifetime member of Seward V.F.W. Auxiliary #4755. Loretta passed away on June 20, 2021, in Lincoln, at the age of 82 years, 4 months and 13 days.

She is survived by her son, Duane (Kathy) Anderson, Staplehurst; daughters, Beverly Anderson, Lincoln, Linda (James) Hrnicek, Seward, Susan (Terry) Gieselman, Lincoln; daughter-in-law, Sheri (Paul) Moss, Lincoln; brother-in-law, Kenneth (Linda) Anderson, Bartlesville, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Heather (Bill) Jurey, Justin Anderson, Matthew (Jessica) Anderson, Michael Glantz, Bryan (Jessica) Hrnicek, Paul (Amanda) Hrnicek, Nathan (Alicia) Hrnicek, Andrew Hrnicek, Jason Gieselman (fiancée, Bri Heimer), Jacob Gieselman; great-grandchildren, Emily Jurey, William Jurey, Bailey Locke, Grant Anderson, Brooklyn Anderson, Faith Glantz, Carson Glantz, Aiden Hrnicek, Bryce Hrnicek, Carsten Hrnicek, Morgan Hrnicek, Taylor Hrnicek, Alayna Hrnicek, Avery Hrnicek, Alexander Hrnicek, Adylae Hrnicek, Ainsley Hrnicek; six nieces; one nephew. Loretta was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Arvilla Ficken; husband, Lyle Anderson; son, Steven Anderson; grandson, Mark Hrnicek; parents-in-law, Claude and Minnie Anderson; sister and brother-in-law, Lola and Harold Radford; sister-in-law, Delores Moyer. 

A funeral service was June 25 at Faith Lutheran Church in Seward, with interment at the church cemetery. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Faith Lutheran Church Cemetery fund. Condolences may be left for the family at www.volzkefuneralhome.com.
