Leah June Bjerrum was born Oct. 31, 1947, to Earl and Bessie (Davis) Rottler in Norfolk.

She attended District 87 Country School and graduated from Norfolk Senior High School in 1965. Following high school, she attended Norfolk Junior College. Leah was married to Jack Linn from 1974 until his death in 1984. Following Jack’s death, Leah married Randy Bjerrum in 1993 and was married to him until his death on June 20, 2013. She worked for NAPE-AFSCME Local 61 for 30 years and then for Centennial Public School in Utica for 15 years, retiring in 2016.

In her free time, she enjoyed gardening and dancing. She loved being a farm wife and spending time with her friends in Utica. She especially loved spending time with her pet dog. Leah passed away March 3, 2024, in Lincoln, at the age of 76.

She is survived by her stepchildren, David (Jeanette) Bjerrum and Lori Bjerrum; sister-in-law, Alesia Rottler; nieces, Robin (Richard) Pospisil and Diane Jones; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Connie Whittemore and Linda and Larry Volland; and great-nieces and nephews. Leah was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Bessie Rottler; husband, Jack Linn; husband, Randy Bjerrum; brother, Les Rottler; grandson, Colby Bjerrum; and brother-in-law, Don Whittemore.

Signing of the remembrance book will be Friday, March 22, from 1 – 5 p.m. at Volzke Funeral Home in Seward. The memorial service will be Saturday, March 23, at the United Methodist Church in Utica with committal at the Utica Cemetery.
