Lavonne Graff was born May 23, 1926, in Seward, to Glen and Bessie (Detimore) Miers and passed away July 12, 2021, in Seward, at the age of 95 years, 1 month and 19 days. Lavonne grew up in Seward, where she attended and graduated from Seward High School with the Class of 1945.

On May 5, 1946, Lavonne was united in marriage to Robert Graff in Seward and to this union, three children were born. The couple lived and farmed in the Beaver Crossing area. Lavonne was a member of Goehner Grange, Extension Clubs and was the County Extension President for a year. She was a longtime member of Friedens United Church of Christ. where she taught Sunday school, sang in the choir and was a member of the Women’s Fellowship.

 In 1972, they retired from farming and moved to Seward. Lavonne worked for Seward Dry Goods for a number of years. She loved dancing, playing cards and traveling all over the United States as well as a trip to Greece. She loved watching her grandchildren’s sporting events. Lavonne loved her family very much, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Lavonne is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bob (2004); brother and sister-in-law, Dean and Virginia Miers; sister and brother-in-law, Alberta and Jim Davenport; brothers-in-law and sister-in-law, Lee Graff, Darrell and Maxine Graff; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Dorothy and Butch Nienhuser; brother-in-law, Charlie Nitz.

Survivors cherishing her memory include her children and spouses, Dennis and wife, Jolene Graff, Lincoln, Steve and wife, Jeanette Graff, Arnold, Kathy and husband, LeRoy Pullman, Freeman, South Dakota; grandchildren, Jason and wife, Sarah Graff, Lisa and husband, Marc Timmins, Kevin and wife, Abby Pullman, Jessica and husband, Chad Mills, Joyce and husband, Steven Schnabel, Mindy and husband, Chris Hough; 16 great-grandchildren: Isaac, Hannah, Frankie and Willa Graff of Lincoln, Morgan and Brayden Timmins of Omaha, Grace, Clare and Brett Pullman of Lino Lakes, Minnesota, Matison Mills of Boelus, Jillian, Olivia, Kaitlynn and Allie Schnabel of Ida Grove, Iowa, Hunter and Brynley Hough of Arnold; brother and sister-in-law, Norman and Joan Miers; two sisters-in-law, Lorna Graff and Margie Nitz; numerous nieces and nephews.

The funeral service was July 16 at Friedens United Church of Christ in Goehner with interment at the Mound Prairie Cemetery in Goehner. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Seward Volunteer Fire & Rescue Department or to Friedens United Church of Christ in Goehner.
