Kenneth Keith Kriz  grew up in Seward County, graduating from Seward High School in 1954.

He probably never missed a class reunion, helping with the planning and making phone calls encouraging members to come. All of his trips home to see his dad or attend events were planned so he could be in Bee on Friday night for fish. Bee for fish was a rally cry. He raced cars and collected Chevys for several years.

Ken was born in Nebraska, but said he got to Colorado as fast as he could. Ken was an outgoing and charismatic man! His laughter and sense of humor will be remembered by many. Any stranger became a fast friend. Ken was a successful business man, owning and operating his concrete company for many years. Ken then became a successful real estate investor.

Ken served in United States Army and was very proud to be a veteran.

Ken supported many charitable operations. He was an avid supporter of the Veterans Association, the Don Kriz Youth Farm and would randomly swipe his card for people at the grocery store.

Ken loved football and especially the CU Buffs. Ken gave scholarships to many youth through that program.

Ken loved the Lord and studied his Bible regularly. He belonged to the same men's Bible study group for 20+ years. A couple of weeks before Ken's passing, he said he'd been thinking about what he was going to say when he finally gets to meet Jesus. He was greatly loved, and will be missed by many.

Ken was preceded in death by his brother, Don Kriz, and his sister, Evelyn Kriz. Ken leaves behind his partner, Karma Kriz, many cousins and friends.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
