Karoline H. (Höehler) Patsch was born Dec. 16, 1924, in Naurod, Germany, to Wilhelm and Anna (Beltz) Höehler and went to her heavenly home Dec. 12, 2022, at the age of 97 years, 11 months and 26 days.

Karoline grew up and attended school in Weisbaden, Germany, where she met the love of her life, John J. Patsch, while he was stationed there with the U.S. Air Force. They were united in marriage Nov 16, 1950, in Weisbaden, and to this union, six children were born: William “Bill”, Jacqueline, Charmaine, Jeannette, Renee and John. They spent the next years traveling to various Air Force bases throughout the United States and Puerto Rico. They were last stationed at the U.S. Air Force Base in Lincoln and found their forever home in Garland.

Karoline was known as a bit of an “animal whisperer,” who cared for a menagerie of animals throughout her life. She loved all sports, especially her Yankees and cheering on her children and grandchildren. Above all, Karoline loved her Lord and Savior and her family with her whole heart. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and the Garland American Legion Auxiliary. Karoline was one classy lady who will be missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John Patsch; brothers, August Höehler, Karl Höehler; sister, Annie Scheipper; son-in-law, Douglas Ocken; great-granddaughter, Taryn Blair; nephew, Karl Heinz and wife, Jan Höehler.

Survivors cherishing her memory include her children, William “Bill” Patsch, Beatrice, Jacqueline and husband, Rick Wilson, Weeping Water, Marilyn Patsch, Garland, Charmaine and husband, Russ Vondra, Seward, Jeannette and husband, Todd Adamek, Seward, Renee and husband, Alvin Holder, Tampa, Florida, and John Patsch and friend, Kim, Beatrice; grandchildren, Michael Wilson, Weeping Water, Michelle Badgley, Omaha, Richard (Melissa) Wilson, Omaha, Aaron Patsch, Garland, Amber Blair (friend, Rick), Seward, Bill (Debbie) Ocken, Milford, Aubrey (Troy) Barrett, Ames, Cole Ocken, Seward, Alex Adamek, Lincoln, Austin (Megan) Adamek, Lincoln, Garrett Adamek and friend, Taylor, Osage Beach, Missouri, Skyler (Alex) Thompson, Linn Creek, Missouri, Shon (Cortez) Hankton, Gonzales, Louisiana, Courtney Holder, Tampa, Florida, Tyler (Justine) Patsch, Richmond, West Virginia; 19 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Herretta Höehler, Germany and good friend, Rita Suellwold, Garland.

The funeral service was Dec. 19 at Zion Lutheran Church, Garland, with interment at the church cemetery. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Patsch Family for futrure designations. Arrangements by Zabka-Perdue Funeral Home.
