July 13, 2021 COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OFFICIAL PROCEEDINGS Boards of Commissioner Meetings are held each Tuesday morning in the Seward County Courthouse at 9:00 a.m., except for the first Tuesday of each month when meetings will be held at 8:30 a.m. Notice of each meeting is posted on the Courthouse bulletin board and on the Commissioner’s room door. The agenda for all meetings is kept continually current and is available for public inspection at the County Clerk’s Office during normal business hours. The agenda is held open until one business day prior to the meeting for appearance before the Board. The Board has the right to modify the agenda to include items of an emergency nature only at such public meeting. Protest hearings were held. Approved Tax Refund Request letter from Brad Eigsti. Approved Tax List Corrections. Convened as the Board of Commissioners. Approved minutes of July 6, 2021. Held discussion on the disbursement of American Rescue Plan Act funds. This will be on next week’s agenda. Carmen Hindman, Shannon Koranda and Michelle Kelly from Hope Crisis Center were present to give their annual report and request for funding for the next fiscal year. Approved opposition to the National Heritage Area Designation. Commissioners gave reports of their activities. Accepted Annual Return of Disposed Items from Detention Center and Public Defender. Accepted Clerk of the District Court Fee Report for June 2021. Accepted County Treasurer’s Annual Investment Report. Adopted the agenda for July 20, 2021, and adjourned at 10:14 a.m. Re-convened as the Board of Equalization. Protest hearings were held. Approved sending out Notice of Valuation Changes Hladky gave an update of her office.
