John W. Conrad was born Aug. 6, 1947, in Lincoln, to Dale and Pauline (Knaub) Conrad and passed away Aug, 21, 2026, in Seward, at the age of 79.
John grew up in Lincoln and attended Lincoln Southeast High School and graduated with the Class of 1966 before moving to Beaver Crossing, where he spent the rest of his life. He was a hardworking and dedicated farmer who loved working the land and continued farming until his retirement. John enjoyed many things in life, including fishing, hunting, riding his Harley, caring for his horses and Doberman dogs.
Most of all, he treasured time with his family. John met Sharon Kay Scdoris and the two were married May 1, 1968, in Lincoln. Together, they were blessed with two children, John and Becky. John’s family was his greatest joy, and he especially cherished the time he spent with his children and grandson, Jared.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon Conrad, Beaver Crossing; son, John B. (Theresa) Conrad; daughter, Becky Cheeks; grandson, Jared Conrad, Beaver Crossing; and his (favorite) sister, Jan Conrad, Lincoln. John was preceded in death by his parents, Dale and Pauline Conrad. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.
There will be a private family graveside service at Blue Mound Cemetery. Memorial contributions are suggested to the family for a future designation.
