The Nebraska Chambers Association last week announced that Jonathan Jank, CEO/President of the Seward County Chamber and Development Partnership, has been named the 2024 Nebraska Chambers Association Professional of the Year.
This recognition reflects his leadership and dedication to his community over the past 12 years.
Jank’s strategies and approach have impacted local businesses and the community. As an Institute of Organizational Management graduate and a certified economic developer, he has held pivotal roles, including serving as NCA president and co-chair of the Nebraska Chamber’s “6 Regions, 1 Nebraska” initiative for the southeast region.
Additionally, he is an active member of Young Nebraskans, the Kiwanis Club of Seward and Concordia University’s Ag Advisory Council.
Under Jank’s leadership, the Seward County Chamber and Development Partnership achieved the status of a Certified Economic Development Community and a three-star accredited Chamber of Commerce. In 2024, Seward was honored as Nebraska’s “Showcase Community of the Year” by Gov. Jim Pillen, a testament to the initiatives Jank has led.
His efforts have focused on crucial issues such as childcare, downtown preservation and housing, driving significant economic growth and community development.
“Jonathan’s professionalism, vision and passion for our community truly set him apart as a leader,” said Derek Rusher, CEO/President of the Kearney Area Chamber of Commerce. “His contributions not only enhance Seward County, but also serve as a benchmark for chambers across the state.”
