James "Jim” Edward Blowers was born April 25, 1961, at Fitzsimons Army Medical Center in Denver, Colorado, to Duane and Janice Blowers.

At the ripe age of 2 months, he and his parents moved to Fremont, where he, along with his five brothers and two sisters grew up. Jim graduated from Arch Bishop Bergan and attended UNL, Midland, and Wayne State College. He was a man of many talents, which led him into careers of banking, education, and settling into the long-haul transportation industry.

Jim found the love of his life, Roxi Stutzman and they were married on May 19, 1990, in Milford. Together, they had two beautiful sons, Darrin and Zach. Jim was a very devoted husband and father. He loved spending time with his family and watching his boys grow. He enjoyed camping and loved taking his boys fishing. Their favorite getaway was their cabin on Lake Elwood, where the family would spend many weekends fishing and relaxing.

Jim and his family experienced much heartache with the tragic loss of their son, Zach, in a car accident when Zach was only 15 years of age. But Jim put his faith in our Lord Jesus Christ and remained steadfast. Jim devoted much of his time to their Mennonite Church. He and Roxi were very involved, leading the youth group activities and bible studies.

During his later years, Jim and Roxi enjoyed traveling throughout the United States, his favorite being Kauai, Hawaii where they visited three times. After a long struggle with many health issues, Jim is in the arms of our Savior and reunited with his son, Zach.

Jim is survived by his wife, Roxi Blowers, Milford; son, Darrin Blowers, Omaha; mother, Janice Blowers, Milford; five brothers and two sisters, Jeff and Lori Blowers, Henderson, Nevada, Joe Blowers, Fremont, Jerome and Jodie Blowers, Lincoln, John Blowers, Lincoln, Debbie and Joe Kerr, Lincoln, Jason and Amber Blowers, Lincoln, and Denise and Chad Sellers, David City; two brothers-in-law and one sister-in-law; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.
