Hope Elaine (Stutzman) Gaster was born May 11, 1961, and passed away April 22, 2026, at Countryview Nursing Home in Wayne.
Hope was the daughter of Chester and Dorothy (Nichols) Stutzman. She attended Milford Public Schools and graduated in 1979. Hope was baptized as a young teen and a lifelong member of Milford Mennonite Church, Milford. Hope married Roger Gaster in West Point on June 6, 2002, and they made their home in West Point.
Survivors include her husband, Roger Gaster; brothers, Brett (Becky) Stutzman, Paola, Kansas, Gary Gulley, Michael McCarthy and Dennis Gulley; sister, Charlene Givens; nephew, Martin Stutzman, Topeka, Kansas; niece, Megan (Josh) Hemreck, Denver, Colorado; brother-in-law, James Gaster, Indianola; sister-in-law, Leona Horn, Lakeside, Florida; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents; and brothers and sisters-in-law Levi and Clara (Ohundt) Gaster, Clarence Gaster and Doris Gronet.
The funeral service will be Saturday, May 2, at 1 p.m. at the Milford Mennonite Church, Milford. There will be a viewing at the church one hour prior to the funeral service. Graveside Service: Saturday, May 2, at 2 p.m. at the Milford Mennonite Cemetery.
