FEBRUARY 17, 2026 COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OFFICIAL PROCEEDINGS Board of Commissioner Meetings are held each Tuesday morning in the Seward County Courthouse at 9:00 a.m., except for the first Tuesday of each month when meetings will be held at 8:30 a.m. Notice of each meeting is posted on the Courthouse bulletin board and on the Commissioner’s room door. The agenda for all meetings is kept continually current and is available for public inspection at the County Clerk’s Office during normal business hours. The agenda is held open until one business day prior to the meeting for appearance before the Board. The Board has the right to modify the agenda to include items of an emergency nature only at such public meeting. Approved consent agenda consisting of: January Fee Report for Zoning and Surplus Property Disposal Requests for Detention Center. Highway Supt., Jon Regnier and Asst Highway Supt., Trever Trebilcock gave an update of their department. Commissioners gave reports of their activities. Approved Memorandum of Understanding with Wellbeing Initiative, Inc. Approved request for grant application for 420th Road paving to be submitted to the U.S. Dept. of Transportation. Approved extension of CentralSquare Interlocal to June 2026. Approved proposal from Marvin Planning and Consultants for Zoning consultation. Approved Short Form Plat in H Precinct. Approved Administrative Plat in F Precinct. Approved funds for Seward County Emergency Expo Event. Approved delegating the authority to make a conditional offer for an appointed position to the hiring committee, subject to approval and appointment by the board. Held Executive Session for personnel. Discussion was held on Public Transit Department Funding.
