Eunice Eileen Stutzman was born June 20, 1931, in Shickley, to Abraham and Emma (Eichelberger) Troyer, and passed away Friday, Sept. 29, 2023, at the age of 92.

Eunice was married to Leroy Stutzman on Sept. 2, 1951. From this union, five children were born: Doug, Tim, Karla, Brent, and Kimberly. Shortly after their marriage, Eunice and Leroy lived on a farm near Friend. In 1957, they moved to a farm near Dorchester until Leroy passed away in 2008. A few months after his passing, she moved to her home in Milford, where she passed away.

Eunice worked as a waitress at Roth’s Restaurant serving locals and travelers breakfast and lunch for several years. She also played an active part of farm life and lending a second hand when needed. She loved preparing meals when extra hands were needed at times of harvesting or moving cattle several miles. She made countless trips to the parts store and trips to the planting or harvesting field to provide water and lunches.

In her spare time, she enjoyed watching sports, specifically Husker football and volleyball. She also enjoyed spending time with her sisters and childhood friend, Edna Lichti. Eunice and Edna would often be on their telephones watching weekly television shows together. Edna began to decline in health days apart from Eunice and passed away one day prior to Eunice.

She is survived by her children, Doug Stutzman, Milford, Tim (Shayla) Stutzman, Dorchester, Karla (Rick) Bell, Omaha, Brent (Roxanne) Stutzman, Milford, and Kimberly (Kevin) Anderson, Omaha; 18 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; sisters, Betty Springer, Violet Stutzman and Norma Troyer; in-laws, David Hershberger, Dorothy Gifford, Norma Stutzman, Mary Jane Stutzman and Bill Armfield.

She was preceded in death by her parents Abraham and Emma; her husband, Leroy; daughter-in-law, Christine Stutzman; and also preceded in death by other relatives, Dorothy Schlegel, Lee Schlegel, Glen Troyer, Lester Troyer, Loretta Troyer, Jim Troyer, Mary Arm, Leonard Troyer, Ivan Troyer and Harold Troyer.

Burial will be held prior to the memorial service at the Milford Mennonite Cemetery. The memorial service will be Wednesday, Oct. 4, at 11 a.m. at the Milford Mennonite Church. Memorial contributions are suggested in care of the family for a later designation. Arrangements by Lauber Funeral and Cremation Services.
