Edward Earl Munsterman, 83, of Seward, formerly of Exeter and Beaver Crossing, passed away in Seward on Wednesday, March 13, 2024.

He was born Oct. 3, 1940, in Watseka, Illinois, to Wilbert and Marie (Steiner) Munsterman. Edward was united in marriage to Patricia Hensen on Sept. 18, 1964. To this union, four children were born, Cindy, Angela, Mary and Doug. Edward worked as a skilled heavy equipment operator and he and his wife traveled all over the United States building golf courses. Edward enjoyed gardening and growing tomatoes which he gave to all of his friends.

Survivors include his daughters, Cindy (Randy) Markowski, Exeter; Angela (Mike) Lorden, Marshalltown, Iowa, and Mary Munsterman, Tampa, Florida; son, Doug (Lisa) Munsterman, Unadilla; and four grandchildren, Melissa Stender, Amanda Wince, Cody Munsterman, and Justine Wounded Arrow. He is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren; one sister; Rosemary Bruens, Rankin, Illinois; and also many other relatives and a host of friends.

Edward was preceded in death by his parents, and wife, Patricia.

There is no visitation. A Celebration of Life service will be Saturday, April 20, at 10 a.m. at the Christian Assembly Church in Friend. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Exeter Public Library or Send a Kid to Camp. A private family burial will be held at a later date.
