Dennis A. Jorgensen, age 69 of Kearney, died on Sunday, May 25, 2025,+ at his home in Kearney. Dennis was born July 20, 1955, to Dennis A. and Frances M. (Pollock) Jorgensen in David City. He attended Ulysses Elementary School and then Seward High School, graduating with the Class of 1973. Dennis proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army. He married Grace Benes on June 20, 1980, in Valparaiso.
Dennis was a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Kearney, the Kearney American Legion, Knights of Columbus and also the Eagles Club. Dennis and Grace owned/operated Select Sprayers east of Kearney.
A funeral Mass will be Monday, June 2, at 10:30 a.m. at Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Kearney with burial at the Kearney Cemetery. Military honors will be provided at graveside by the American Legion Post #52, Kearney V.F.W. Post #759 and the Nebraska National Guard Funeral Honors Team. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the family to be designated later.
