COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OFFICIAL PROCEEDINGS SEPTEMBER 23, 2025 Board of Commissioner Meetings are held each Tuesday morning in the Seward County Courthouse at 9:00 a.m., except for the first Tuesday of each month when meetings will be held at 8:30 a.m. Notice of each meeting is posted on the Courthouse bulletin board and on the Commissioner’s room door. The agenda for all meetings is kept continually current and is available for public inspection at the County Clerk’s Office during normal business hours. The agenda is held open until one business day prior to the meeting for appearance before the Board. The Board has the right to modify the agenda to include items of an emergency nature only at such public meeting. Convened as the Board of Equalization. Approved minutes of September 9, 2025. Approved Tax List Correction. Reconvened as the Board of Commissioners. Approved minutes of September 16, 2025. Approved claims for the period through September 12, 2025. Commissioners gave reports of their activities. Held Executive Session to seek advice from legal counsel. Nesbitt & Associates were present to discuss the review of the audit for the Seward County Drug Seized Asset Forfeiture Funds for both the County Attorney’s Office and the Sheriff’s Office. Approved Chair to sign agreement with Midwest Engineering, Inc. for pipe replacement on 420th Rd. Approved the Seward County Fiscal Year 2025-2026 Budget. Approved Public Membership and Funding Disbursement Agreements with the SCCDP. Discussion was held on clarifying Resolution #3880 for a conditional use permit in C Precinct; and the meeting with the Treasury Dept. concerning signing the Equitable Sharing Agreement Certification for the Sheriff’s Dept.
