COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OFFICIAL PROCEEDINGS Boards of Commissioner Meetings are held each Tuesday morning in the Seward County Courthouse at 9:00 a.m., except for the first Tuesday of each month when meetings will be held at 8:30 a.m. Notice of each meeting is posted on the Courthouse bulletin board and on the Commissioner’s room door. The agenda for all meetings is kept continually current and is available for public inspection at the County Clerk’s Office during normal business hours. The agenda is held open until one business day prior to the meeting for appearance before the Board. The Board has the right to modify the agenda to include items of an emergency nature only at such public meeting. CLAIMS ALLOWED MARCH 30, 2021 The Seward County Board of Commissioners convened on March 2, 2021, at 8:30 a.m. Present: Chairperson: John Culver Members: Misty Ahmic, Bob Vrbka, Ken Schmieding, Darrell Zabrocki Deputy County Clerk: Brandy Johnson Officials gave updates of their offices. Jonathan Jank, Executive Director of Seward County Chamber & Development Partnership, gave an update of the organization. Approved the minutes of February 23, 2021. Approved Seward County claims through February 19, 2021. Commissioners gave an update of their activities. Approved surplus property disposal requests for the Public Defender’s office and the West Wing offices. The surplus property disposal request for Public Transit will be on the agenda at a later date. Andrew Matney, E911 Director, and Sheriff Mike Vance presented E911 Dispatcher Rachel Borges a Commendation Award. Approved correction to name of short form plat. Approved the closing of 462nd Road from A Street to Pioneers Road for the 5th Annual Big Blue Mile Shootout on June 4, 2021, from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. and June 5, 2021, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. as presented by Melissa Grantski. Approve the Name Change from “Seward County Visitors Committee” to “Seward County Visitors Bureau” as presented by Pat Coldiron. Approved signing of Lease Agreement for the Homeland Security Investigations Criminal Interdiction Task Force – West (HSI CITF-W) Building.
