COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OFFICIAL PROCEEDINGS Boards of Commissioner Meetings are held each Tuesday morning in the Seward County Courthouse at 9:00 a.m., except for the first Tuesday of each month when meetings will be held at 8:30 a.m. The Commissioners will be meeting at 8 a.m. on Friday, December 18 to approve Seward County Claims. Notice of each meeting is posted on the Courthouse bulletin board and on the Commissioner’s room door. The agenda for all meetings is kept continually current and is available for public inspection at the County Clerk’s Office during normal business hours. The agenda is held open until one business day prior to the meeting for appearance before the Board. The Board has the right to modify the agenda to include items of an emergency nature only at such public meeting. CLAIMS ALLOWED JANUARY 19, 2020 The Seward County Board of Commissioners convened on December 15, 2020, at 9:00 a.m. Present: Chairperson: John Culver Members: Misty Ahmic, Bob Vrbka, Ken Schmieding, Becky Paulsen County Clerk: Sherry Schweitzer Schweitzer gave an update of her office. Approved the minutes of December 8, 2020. Commissioners gave an update of their activities. Approved a refund of Inheritance Tax overpayment for the Barbara Ann Swanson Estate. Approved a 3-year Engineer Controls Renewal Agreement. Approved Building and Grounds Supt. to advertise for bids for the painting of the courthouse dome. Accepted the October 2020 Sheriff’s Fee & Mileage Report. Clarified the closing of county offices on December 24, 2020, as a holiday. Approved Special Designated Liquor License for Seward Grocery d/b/a Pac N Save for an event on December 31, 2020. Held Public Hearing for and approved a request to Rezone a tract of land in J Precinct. Ryan Hamburger of South Central EMS, LLC was present to give information about the company. Approved a 1-year lease with Nebraska Machinery Co. for a skid loader, as presented by Highway Supt., Terry Wicht.
