Connie Lea Stutzman was born Aug. 29, 1938, in Alma, Michigan. She was one of four children born to Lloyd and Daisy (Cook) Johnson. She passed away Sept. 12, 2023, in Lincoln, at the age of 85 years, 14 days. 

On Dec. 27, 1969, Connie was united in marriage to Morris Stutzman in Seward and was fortunate to have a ready-made family with two girls, Tina and Penny. In Feb. 1971, a daughter, Kelli was born. Together, they lived in the Milford/Seward area except for four years in Michigan. Connie was a stay-at-home mother. She collected elephant figurines and enjoyed going to garage sales. She was a great cook and she liked to keep her home immaculate.  

Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Penny and Roger Obershaw of Rogers, Nebraska; daughter, Kelli Stutzman of Lincoln; nine grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Daisy (Cook) Johnson; grandson, Joseph Obershaw in 1991; husband, Morris Stutzman in 2011; granddaughter, Kirsten Obershaw in 2019; and daughter, Tina Harris in 2021.

Connie suffered a stroke in 2006. She lived at Crestview Care Center in Milford until they closed in October 2019. Since then, she has lived at Gateway Vista in Lincoln. Her family recently threw her a surprise party for her 85th birthday. Connie wished to be cremated and did not want a service. Memorial contributions are suggested to the family.
