Concordia brings home national title

Confetti fell from the rafters when the clock hit zeros, and the Concordia women's basketball team celebrated its first national title.

The Bulldogs beat Southeastern (Fla.) 67-59 in the championship game March 12, led by tournament MVP Grace Barry, who scored 15 points. Taylor Cockerill added 13, and Philly Lammers and Quinn Wragge scored 11 each.

Southeastern cut the lead to two in the final three minutes, but the Bulldogs scored the game's final six points.

After the game, Coach Drew Olsen was announced as the national coach of the year.
