CITY OF MILFORD JUNE 2, 2026 The following is a condensed form of minutes: A complete copy is on file at the Milford City Hall, 402 1st St., Milford, NE, or on the city’s website: milfordne.gov The Mayor and Council met in regular session on June 2, 2026 at 7:00 pm. Mayor Kelley called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm. Present: Bauer, DeLong, Freeman, Parks. Nebraska Open Meetings Act requirement met. APPROVE AGENDA AS SUBMITTED: Approved the agenda as presented. PUBLIC COMMENT: No comments. CONSENT AGENDA: Mayor Kelley read the Consent Agenda: a. Approve Minutes: 5/2/26 b. Approval of Claims: Accounts Payable - Totaling $267,178.71 c. Approve Treasurer’s Report for 4/26 d. Reports/Communications filed by Governing Board and City Personnel. e. Set the Budget Worknight for July 21 and July 22, 2026 starting at 6:00 pm. f. Approve street closings for Fun Days, August 15, 2026. g. Authorize payment process of drawdown #6 *final* for 23-TFHO-16023 OOR Program in the amount of $55,651.01. h. Approve hiring Katelyn Jones as returning lifeguard at $15.25 per hour. i. Approve firework sales application from Clouse Bros. LLC j. Approve Sr. Center meal contract with Great Western Dining, 2026-2027 SALARIES: $51,342.31 GENERAL FUND: See attached CURRENT BUSINESS: City Council approved the following items: Authorized the mayor’s signature on the Downtown Revitalization Program (DTR) CDBG Subrecipient Agreement. Approved the final Downtown Revitalization Program (DTR) Guidelines. Roll call vote: Kick-Off meeting will be held on 6/24/26 @ 7:00 pm to introduce the program and hand out applications. Approved the Notice of Intent to request release of funds for the DTR Program. Adopted the amendment of the Interlocal Cooperative Agreement between the City of Omaha and the City of Milford, relating to the operation of keno lottery within the City of Milford. Approved the Interlocal Fire Protection and Emergency Services Agreement between the Seward County Rural Fire Protection District, Seward County, NE and the City of Milford, NE. Consider retirement status for a full-time employee. No action needed. Agenda Item Request: Dustin Ficke, 720 7th St., Water way going south out of town. Silt in of aggregate/gravel. Clean out? What is the plan? How it affects property owners. Dustin Ficke, Jason Stahl and Brian Toovey addressed the council regarding their concerns with the waterway running through their properties. Photos were shared of standing water, debris collected from upstream, areas that had washed out and areas that had silted in. They are proposing a coordinated effort with the homeowners and the city to resolve some of the problems. Mayor Kelley thanked them for collectively talking about the concerns.
