Call meeting to order & announce Open Meetings Act is Posted 1.2. Public Notice as publicized per board policy The public notice was publicized in the Seward County Independent and posted at city hall, library and courthouse. The public notice was dated September 8, 2021. 1.3. Roll Call 1.3.1. Public Forum on Any Topic: This is your opportunity to speak to any topic concerning the school district. Since it is not an agenda item the board cannot discuss or take action at this time on the matter. Future discussion can be requested as an agenda item. Thank you for your participation. There was none. 3. Reports 3.1. Administrator Reports Written reports were received from the administrators. 3.2. Student Board Report Alivia Hartman presented her report to the board. 3.3. Superintendent's Report The York Regional Meeting is on September 15, 2021, at 4:30. At the state board meeting it was passed to shelve the health state standards. The board was selected to present at the State School Board meeting in November. Dr. Fields discussed not being a member of NRCSA, the upcoming ESU meeting with attorneys about open meeting laws, staffing shortages in food service and transportation, legislative redistricting battle. Superintendents have messaged NDE and asked them to slow down and not move forward so fast on important matters. We have had a great start to the school year. 3.4. Enrollment Report Dr. Fields discussed enrollment and stated our numbers are down a bit from last year. 4. Discussion Items 4.1. COVID Update Dr. Fields discussed our dash board which is updated every morning, staff absences, our communicable disease policy and is exploring portable air purifiers. 5. Old Business 6. HVAC RFP Motion to enter into a Contract with a Qualified Energy Services Company (ESCO) and will follow the Request for Proposal (RFP) process per Federal requirements for ESSER III funding.
