AUGUST 4, 2026 COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OFFICIAL PROCEEDINGS Board of Commissioner Meetings are held each Tuesday morning in the Seward County Courthouse at 9:00 a.m. Notice of each meeting is posted on the Courthouse bulletin board and on the Commissioner’s room door. The agenda for all meetings is kept continually current and is available for public inspection at the County Clerk’s Office during normal business hours. The agenda is held open until one business day prior to the meeting for appearance before the Board. The Board has the right to modify the agenda to include items of an emergency nature only at such public meeting. CLAIMS ALLOWED SEPTEMBER 8, 2026 The Seward County Board of Commissioners convened on August 4, 2026 at 9:00 a.m. Present: Chairperson: Misty Ahmic Members: Darrell Zabrocki, Scott Pekarek County Clerk: Brandy Johnson Absent: Members: Raegan Hain Legal Counsel: Deputy County Attorney, Barbara Armstead Approved minutes of July 28, 2026. Gary Jewell spoke during the time for public comment. Commissioners gave reports of their activities. Approved appointment of Alisha Fisher as the Aging Services Program Manager. Representatives of Aging Partners gave annual update and funding request. Held Executive Session to discuss potential litigation. Held Public Hearings and approved permits to upgrade existing wireless towers in Precincts E and P. Approved Resolution to resolve unique circumstances for Building Permit #41-2026. Discussions were held on a potential Water Study for the county in partnership with Upper Big Blue and Lower Platte South Natural Resource Districts; the monthly Allo phone bills; a one-year lease agreement with CAT Financial for a mini excavator; Held Budget meetings with Treasurer and County Clerk.
