Ardith Ann Stuhr was born Jan. 13, 1945, to Christian and Frieda (Tonniges) Mueller in Seward.

She attended Seward High School, graduating in 1963. On June 27, 1964, Ardith was united in marriage to Myron Stuhr at Zion Lutheran Marysville Church in Marysville, Nebraska. Ardith was a farm wife and homemaker and she also worked at Houchin Bindery in Utica for more than 20 years, where she enjoyed the restoration process. Ardith’s greatest love was the farm and helping Myron. She took pride in the upkeep of the acreage.

She was also a talented seamstress and enjoyed making crafts and decorating. Her greatest joy was her grandchildren. She was always available and there was never a time you wouldn’t see brownies or chocolate chip cookies waiting for you in the kitchen. Ardith passed away Jan. 25, 2024, in Seward, at the age of 79.

She is survived by her children, Lori (Lyle) Hamling of Garland and Tom (Shannon) Stuhr of Milligan; grandchildren, Megan (Jacob) Sebade, Gavin Hamling, Grace Hamling, Jake Wilkins and Ella Wilkins; great-grandchildren, Navy, Logan and Milo; sister, Imogene Hegeholz; and sister-in-law, Sandy Mueller. Ardith was preceded in death by her parents, Christian and Frieda Mueller; husband, Myron Stuhr; brother, Duane Mueller; brother-in-law, Gerald Hegeholz; and brother-in-law and sister-in-law, LaVern and Linda Stuhr.

The funeral service was Jan. 30 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Utica with committal at the Utica Cemetery. Memorial contributions are suggested in care of the Stuhr family or the donor's choice. Arrangements by Volzke Funeral Home.
