APRIL 14, 2026 COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OFFICIAL PROCEEDINGS Board of Commissioner Meetings are held each Tuesday morning in the Seward County Courthouse at 9:00 a.m., except for the first Tuesday of each month when meetings will be held at 8:30 a.m. Notice of each meeting is posted on the Courthouse bulletin board and on the Commissioner’s room door. The agenda for all meetings is kept continually current and is available for public inspection at the County Clerk’s Office during normal business hours. The agenda is held open until one business day prior to the meeting for appearance before the Board. The Board has the right to modify the agenda to include items of an emergency nature only at such public meeting. CLAIMS ALLOWED MAY 19, 2026 The Seward County Board of Equalization convened on April 14, 2026 at 8:30 a.m. Present: Chairperson: Misty Ahmic Scott Pekarek, Darrell Zabrocki, Ken Schmieding County Clerk: Brandy Johnson County Assessor: Marilyn Hladky Legal Counsel: Deputy County Attorney, Barbara Armstead Approved minutes of March 24, 2026. Hladky gave an update of her department. Convened as the Board of Commissioners. Approved minutes of April 7, 2026. Approved Hope Crisis Center’s request to use Courthouse lawn for a lemonade stand on April 30, 2026. Approved audio and video recording of the meetings to be uploaded each week within 24 hours of adjournment. Approved agreement with Jackson’s Heavy Equipment Training, LLC for motor grader operator training. Approved Environmental Services Agreement between with Olsson, Inc for NDOT project. Officials gave reports of their departments. Commissioners gave reports of their activities. Discussions were held on covered parking for county owned vehicles; the status of the camera system at the Justice Center/Detention Center; and the addendum to the Public Defender contract.
