Anne Patrice Leonard was born Aug. 16, 1960, in the Nebraska Sandhills, and passed away April 23, 2026, in Lincoln.
Anne was a longtime resident at Sunrise Country Manor (Milford Manor). She enjoyed the outdoors, horses and dogs.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Don and Juanita. She is survived by her three siblings and their families – Laurie Trautwein (Lary), Matt Leonard (Mary Ellen), and Jill Leonard (Kathleen Taylor); as well as her nephews and nieces and their families, Taner Trautwein, Lane Trautwein, Kyle Leonard, Kristi Leonard and Kevin Leonard.
The family will remember Anne at a private ceremony. Memorial contributions are suggested in care of a local animal shelter in Anne’s name. However, as you finish reading this, maybe grab a bag of plain M&M’s, go outside, find a bench to enjoy the peace of nature, listen and watch the birds and love on a dog along the way. Head to the ice cream shop with a little bit of Johnny Cash in the background and know that Anne Patrice is sitting on her daddy’s lap, black felt hat on his head and enjoying a bite of ice cream with her mom. That’s the simple memorial that will mean the most.
