Aloha Mae Roth was born Feb. 12, 1936, on a farm near Seward, to Jake and Esther (Roth) Roth, the fourth of six children. Aloha passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Sunday, July 17, 2022, at the age of 86.
In her youth, Aloha accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior and was baptized at East Fairview Mennonite Church where she was a faithful member. On Oct. 20, 1961, she was united in marriage to Wayne Roth. To this union was born five children, Doug, Steve, Brad, an infant daughter and Jeff.
Aloha was active by serving her church in various positions. She spent many years babysitting and cleaning houses. She also helped others in celebrating milestone events by creating beautiful cakes for weddings, anniversaries, graduations, birthdays, showers, baptisms and many other occasions. Aloha loved working in her kitchen creating many wonderful meals which she shared with her family and many friends. Quilting and embroidering were her favorite pastimes.
Aloha had a concern for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren that they would each have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. She spent countless hours in her rocking chair with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren rocking, singing and loving on them. She spent the last weeks of her life longing and eagerly anticipating the reunion with her Savior and family that had gone on before.
Aloha is survived by her husband, Wayne; children and spouses, Doug, of Milford, Steve and Annete, of York, Brad and Roxie and Jeff and Jamie, of Milford; 11 grandchildren, Jennifer (Robert) Jeppesen, Emily (Cayden) Riley, Julie (Daniel) Coffey, Makayla (Aaron) Zach, Trevor Roth, Tori Roth (fiancé Clay Nickels), Parker Roth, Keylie Roth, Taylon Roth, Carter Roth, Eeagan Roth and honorary granddaughter Tiffany Bernasek (fiancé John White); 13 great-grandchildren; a sister, Lori (Earl) McCullough, Milford; sister-in-law, Lauralee (Nyle) Kaufmann, Iowa City, Iowa; many nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
Aloha was preceded in death by her parents; an infant daughter in 1971; parents-in-law, William and Emma Roth; brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Eleanor Roth; sister, Fredetta Roth; sisters and brothers-in-law, Arvilla and Wilton Schweitzer and Donna and Willis Roth; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Rollin and Doris Roth, Leona and Daniel Miller, George and Jean Roth, Irva and Daniel Ropp, Harold and Bonnie Jean Roth and Leslie Roth.
