A pedestrian died after being struck by a vehicle around 4:16 p.m. Monday.
Seward Police Chief Brian Peters said Joyce Meyer, 93, was traveling west on Seward Street and turned southbound on Sixth Street, when she hit a pedestrian with her blue 2002 Buick LeSabre.
The pedestrian, Sophia Medrano, 74, was transported to Memorial Hospital and life-flighted to Bryan West in Lincoln where she died of her injuries.
Peters said Meyer was not injured.
Nebraska State Patrol is assisting in the ongoing investigation.
