The Milford volleyball team had a rough go in its season opener Aug. 23, a 25-16, 25-14, 25-19 loss to Syracuse.
Coach Haley Hoarty said the Eagles struggled to get into rhythm passing, and that kept them out of system on offense.
“That made it hard to score,” she said. “When we were in system, we looked good.”
She said SHS served deep against the Eagles, and MHS found it hard to move to get into position for good passes.
“We know we could do better,” Hoarty said.
Hannah Kepler’s six kills led the team, and Sydney Bontrager served two aces.
Milford will host county and conference rival Centennial Thursday, Aug. 30, at 7:30 p.m.
“I think it will be a good game,” Hoarty said.
