Sharon C. Cerveny, 74, of Clatonia passed away Dec. 30, 2019, in Lincoln. She was born in Friend to Rupert and Mary Dine on Dec. 16, 1945. She attended Friend Public Schools and graduated from high school in 1964. Sharon married Joseph Ben Cerveny on July 10, 1970, and to that union were born two children. Sharon worked for Friskies for 38 years. She had a love for music.

She was a member of the Turkey Creek Country Girls which included her mother and sister, Rose. She was also a member of Blue River Community Band and Milligan Brass Band for many years playing her clarinet. Sharon enjoyed watching all sports. She had a special love for all of her grandchildren and keeping up with their activities.

Sharon was preceded in death by her husband, Joe; parents, Rupert and Mary; and sister, Rose.

Sharon is survived by her son, Mark (Roxie) Cerveny; daughter, Angela Burger; stepchildren, Joseph, Jr. (Diane) Cerveny, Mike Cerveny and Tammy (Harlan) Schlichting; brothers, John (Betty) Dine and George (Sandy) Dine; 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

A funeral service was held Jan. 2, 2020, at Kuncl Funeral Home in Crete, with burial following at Lincoln Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made in care of the family. Condolences may be sent to the family at
