DeWitt gets new mural

Hope Moural/WR

It took Greg Houlden of Friend five days to complete a new “Welcome to DeWItt” mural, based on an old photograph of the DeWItt wheat mill. The mural. located at the intersection of Main and Fillmore Street, welcomes those coming into the business district of the town and is across the street from the village office. Ray Brown, who owns the construction office building on which it was painted, commissioned Houlden for the project. “I paint to keep me happy,” Holden said.
