A bill was introduced in the legislature yesterday that would provide up to $100,000 in tax credits for scholarship donations for private and faith-based schools. This comes after Nebraskans voted to repeal a similar law giving state funds to private school scholarships.

A social gathering of veterans dedicated to reducing and eliminating veteran suicide will be from 7 – 9 p.m. at the VFW, 243 S. Ninth St., in Seward The group meets monthly on the 22nd.
The Lied Senior Center will host a potato bake Thursday, Jan. 23, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Line dancing with Jacki Mason will start Jan. 23 and run through March 27. This series will be Thursday nights at 6:30 p.m. No partner is necessary, all ages 10 and up are welcome, and do not forget to wear comfortable shoes. Registration is not required.
