Wayne Fredrick Schildt, of Malcolm, was born June 29, 1943, to Harold and Helen (Ahrens) Schildt in Garland.
He graduated from Malcolm High School in 1961. Wayne served in the United States Army National Guard from Nov. 17, 1964, through Nov. 16, 1970. On May 28, 1988, Wayne was united in marriage to Patricia Jacobsen in Sewarda. Wayne worked at the Co-op for many years. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Garland and the Garland American Legion Post# 369. Wayne passed away June 14, 2022, in Lincoln, at the age of 78 years, 11 months and 16 days.
He is survived by his children, Brent Schildt, Ryan (Teresa) Schildt, Leigh (Landon) Husband, Colleen (Tod) Cameron; grandchildren, Landon, Jenna and Faith Husband, Lauren Schildt, and Madelein and Ethan Woolard; sisters, Marjean (Milan) Schweitzer and Ila (Harry) Keller. Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Helen Schildt; wife, Patricia Schildt; and sister, Delores Schildt.
