VILLAGE OF GOEHNER June 7, 2022 The Village of Goehner Board of Trustees met in open and regular session on June 7, 2022, at the Goehner Fire Hall, as posted in three places in the Village. Chairperson Knisley announced the location of the OPEN MEETINGS ACT POSTER. The meeting was called to order by Chairperson Knisley at 7:30 p.m., at the Goehner Fire Hall. Upon roll call, the following board members were present: Besse, Ostrander, Bialas, Agena and Knisley. CONSENT AGENDA: Minutes of 5/3/2022; Treasurer’s Report; Bills payable to date; Trustee Ostrander moved to approve the consent agenda, with second by Besse. RCV: Aye-Trustee Ostrander, Besse, Agena, Bialas, Knisley. Motion carried. As discussed, the Village Board must act in the capacity of the CDA to implement TIF projects. This ordinance establishes the CDA. Motion to waive three readings by Besse, seconded by Ostrander. RCV: Besse, Ostrander, Bialas, Agena, Knisley. Motion Carried. Motion to Adopt Ordinance 260 by Ostrander, second by Bialas, RCV: Ostrander, Bilas, Agena, Bessie, Knisley. Motion Carried. The Annexation Ordinance requires three readings before being passed. Chairperson Knisley read Ordinance 261 for the first time on 6/7/22. Brent Ciecior, the newly appointed Street Superintendent from JEO introduced himself and wanted to discuss 1&6 Year Plan and other additional road projects. Board reported they would reach out if any changes were going to be made to that plan. Zoning Inspector Report: George reported that James Sleight wants to replace the carport attached to garage to extend roof of garage. Permit to be approved once paid in full $26.80. Property on corner of Bessie & James (Bartletts old house) to mow within 2 weeks of receiving letter or village will mow at a rate of $75/hr. Sheriff’s department reported the current interstate project of adding the barrier between interstate lanes which may increase GVFD activity. Be aware of transients as the numbers are increasing. Increase in vehicle and fuel thefts. Encourage to lock property and vehicles. Solid Waste/Recycling: Next meeting 6/16/22. George reported Sargent Drilling came out to repair wells. Both wells are pumping a lot and water consumption is up. Clerk reported that she has been addressing multiple zoning questions, working with attorney on TIF project and meeting requirements and utility bills are going out this month.
