UBC drops two by one run each

After dropping two games by one run each, the Utica-Beaver Crossing Juniors went 1-2 in a tournament over the weekend.

The Badgers started the week with a 9-8 loss to Hebron in nine innings June 16. Lane Johnson was 2-4 with a double and drove in a run. Parker Perry drove in two. Ayden Konken struck out 13 in 5.2 innings of work.

UBC gave up three runs in the seventh against Milford June 18 and lost 8-7. Johnson and Caleb Clouse had two hits each, and Bentley Juranek drove in two.

Perry struck out nine batters in 5.1 innings.

UBC went 1-2 at Hebron over the weekend, losing to South Central 16-2, beating Millard United JV Black 20-2 and losing to Marysville 14-1.

Clouse and Konken had two hits each against Millard. Chase Pankoke threw four innings and struck out 10.

UBC (5-7) is to play at Wymore Diller Odell Thursday, June 26. The Badgers host Hebron Thursday, July 3, at 7 p.m.
