The SHS Academic Decathlon team was presented the Nebraska Academic Decathlon State Championship-Medium School Division on Feb. 15, after competing in a series of online tests, a speech contest, an essay contest, an individual interview and a quiz bowl competition.

Subdistrict semifinals are now scheduled for tomorrow, Feb. 19. Milford will host the winner of St. Paul/Cozad at 5:30 p.m. Malcolm will play the winner of Omaha Concordia/Auburn at 5:30 p.m. at Fort Calhoun. If Centennial wins, the Broncos will play Southern Valley at 6:45 p.m.
The first girls' state wrestling tournament in Nebraska starts this afternoon at 4 p.m. at the CHI Health Center in Omaha. In previous years, the girls wrestled at the same time as the boys. This year, the girls have their own tournament.
Seward/Milford has three girls competing – Lauren Frihauf, Evelyn Theobald and JennaRae Hallsted. Centennial sends Lainey Abell to represent the Broncos.
