Timothy Boyd Heyen was born June 15, 1957, in Seward, to Robert Heyen and Delores (Imig) Heyen and passed away Dec. 24, 2020, in Hopkinsville, Kentucky, at the age of 63 from complications related to COVID-19.

Tim grew up in Seward and graduated from Seward High School. He received his engineering degree from Southeast Community College, Milford, and his Bachelor of Organizational Management from Concordia College, Seward. Tim was baptized and confirmed in the Methodist faith.

On Jan. 17, 1975, Tim was united in marriage to Madge Yoder and this union was blessed with three children, Eric, Jaclyn and Beau Heyen. Tim and Madge moved from Seward to Henderson, Tennessee, and then to Cadiz, Kentucky. Tim was employed as an engineer with Transcraft in Cadiz at the time of his death. He was a Harley motorcycle enthusiast and lifetime member of the Harley Owners Group. He had obtained the Arrow of Light as a Cub Scout, served as a Cub Scout leader, a Cub master and a Boy Scout assistant leader. His hobbies included fishing and working on vehicles.

Tim was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Delores Heyen; granddaughter, Norah Heyen; father and mother-in-law, Wallace and Nelda Yoder; brother-in-law, Doyle Rhoades and several uncles, aunts and cousins.

He is survived by his wife, Madge Heyen, Cadiz; son and daughter-in-law, Eric and Beth Heyen, Seward; daughter, Jaclyn Heyen; son, Beau Heyen, Kansas City, MO; brother, Ronald Heyen and partner, Cate Anderson, Iowa, LA; sisters and brothers-in-law, Wendy Rhoades and Marvin Taylor, Lincoln, Terri and Jon Burchess, Lincoln; three grandchildren, Liam, Dash and Ronan Heyen.

Visitation is 1 to 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 8, at Zabka-Perdue Funeral Home in Seward with family receiving friends from 4 to 7 p.m. A private family service is Jan. 9.
