Terrance R. “Terry” Wright

Terry Wright, age 74, passed away Nov. 2, 2018. Terry was born March 29, 1944, to Gerald and Ione (Davis) Wright in Marfa, Texas. Gerald preceded him in death when Terry was 3. He was raised by his loving parents, Franklin and Ione (Davis) Lueders.

As an alumnus of the University of Nebraska, he was a passionate Husker fan. On April 10, 1966, he married Cheryl Anne Ocken in Staplehurst. He moved the family to Wisconsin in 1974 to work at MGIC. Terry retired from MGIC as vice president of Regulatory Relations in 2006.

Terry loved spending time with his family, playing cards, cheering for the Brewers, driving his ‘67 Mustang, caring for his Labradors and working on projects at the home on Granville Road.

He was preceded in death by his father, Gerald Wright; his parents, Franklin and Ione Lueders; his in-laws, Lawrence and Virginia Ocken; and his brother-in-law, Doug Ocken.

He was the beloved husband of Cheryl (nee Ocken); loving dad of Chad (Mary) Wright of Hartland, Wisconsin, and Bryan (Magdalena) Wright of Heidelberg, Germany; proud grandpa of Erin, Colin, Avery, Erik and Stella Wright; and dear brother of Lori (Dave) Swanson of Tucson, Arizona. He will also be missed by sisters-in-law, Elizabeth (Larry) Robertson, Barbara Winter and Pamela Grein. Uncle Terry was loved by Brian and Kristin, TJ, Eric and Corey, Amber, Bill, Aubrey and Cole, Trisha, Rick, Sarah and Andrew. He will also be missed by many other family and friends.
