SEPTEMBER 6, 2022 COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OFFICIAL PROCEEDINGS Boards of Commissioner Meetings are held each Tuesday morning in the Seward County Courthouse at 9:00 a.m., except for the first Tuesday of each month when meetings will be held at 8:30 a.m. Notice of each meeting is posted on the Courthouse bulletin board and on the Commissioner’s room door. The agenda for all meetings is kept continually current and is available for public inspection at the County Clerk’s Office during normal business hours. The agenda is held open until one business day prior to the meeting for appearance before the Board. The Board has the right to modify the agenda to include items of an emergency nature only at such public meeting. CLAIMS ALLOWED October 11, 2022 The Seward County Board of Commissioners convened on September 6, 2022 at 8:30 a.m. Present: Chairperson: John Culver Members: Misty Ahmic, Bob Vrbka, Ken Schmieding, Darrell Zabrocki County Clerk: Sherry Schweitzer Jonathan Jank of the Seward County Chamber, and Harrison Helmer of BRIDGES, gave an update of their organizations. Officials gave updates of their offices. Inventories of county offices were discussed. Approved Jones Bank to pledge additional securities. Deputy County Attorney Barb Armstead gave an update on the National Opioid Settlement. Approved Bockmann Inc. to assist UNL with missile base silo project. Discussion was held on insurance documents for the project. Approved lease with CASA for office space and carpet removal of office space. Opened 2 bids for Box Culvert Project. Bids will be awarded next week. Approved August 2022 County Clerk Fee Report. Approved August 2022 Sheriff Fee and Mileage Report. Approved insurance offer for Extension office van. Discussion was held on American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) projects, the installation of an emergency exit door in the 911 Center and the purchase of the Interdiction building and property. Approved to not have meetings live streamed until more information is available.
