Robert “Bob” L. Brungardt, of Seward, was born June 27, 1938, to Mike and Mary (Kaberlein) Brungardt in Russell, Kansas.

He graduated from Gorham High School in Gorham, Kansas, in 1956. He served in the United States Army from July 17, 1957, to May 6, 1958. Bob worked in retail management for 50 years, retiring in 2010. In his free time, Bob enjoyed playing cards and watching sports, especially the Denver Broncos and St. Louis Cardinals. He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church and volunteered at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic School. Bob passed away Nov. 8, 2022, in Lincoln, at the age of 84 years, 4 months and 12 days.

He is survived by his stepsons, Troy (Suzanne) Dixon of Aurora and Trent (Raquel) Dixon of Plano, Texas; step-grandchildren, Hailey Dixon and Jacob Dixon; sister-in-law, Ruth Brungardt of El Dorado, Kansas. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Mike and Mary Brungardt; brothers and sisters-in-law, Raymond Brungardt, Clem (Beatrice) Brungardt, Richard Brungardt and Joe (Mary Lou) Brungardt; sister, Maggie Liekam; sister and brother-in-law, Eleanor (Sylvester) Kuhn.

Visitation will be from 1 to 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 18, at Volzke Funeral Home in Seward with gathering of family and friends will be from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 19, at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Seward with interment at the Seward Cemetery.
