Dick attended and graduated from Milford High School in 1954 and graduated from Southeast Community College, Milford, in 1958. While in high school, Dick loved and participated in sports.

He worked in Lincoln as a journeyman electrician for Action Electric from 1958 until August 1972 when Phil Wurst invited him to join him in the insurance business. He truly enjoyed working with his clients and was in the business for 24 years until his health forced him to retire in 1996.

Dick was a big Husker and Seward High School fan and loved attending his grandchildren’s sporting events and musicals. His grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the light of his life.

Throughout his life, Dick enjoyed serving his church in many capacities. It brought him much joy to join his fellow Christians in singing praises to His Lord and Savior.
