REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS (RFQ) Seward Wastewater Treatment Plant Improvements Project The City of Seward (City) is seeking a qualified design engineering firm to undertake the design of an expansion and upgrade to the Seward Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP), located at 1040 S. Columbia Avenue, Seward, NE. The main elements of the upgrade include: (1) design of a secondary biological treatment process, (2) design of a solids dewatering facility, and (3) integration of new and existing unit processes into a single treatment train meeting the City’s needs through 2045. Recommendations for improvements can be found in the 2019 Facilities Plan Update. The City will be utilizing a multiple-step qualifications-based process to select the engineering firm. The first requirement is the submission of a Statement of Qualifications (SOQ), the requirements for which can be found in a detailed RFQ. For consideration, three hard copies and one PDF copy of the Statement of Qualifications shall be received by Derek Bargmann, City Clerk, no later than 4:00 PM on July 1 at City Hall, 537 Main Street, Seward, NE 68434.
