PeeWee shares meaning of Christmas

At the end of both his Dec. 1 and Dec. 3 videos, viral sensation Marvin “PeeWee” Schulz of Seward delivered his now-trademark sendoff.

“Be sure to like us on Facebook,” he says while the camera focuses on other events in the foreground.

The latest installments in his “PeeWee” video series on Kinship Pointe Seward's Facebook page have been warmly welcomed by his audience. Fans like and share the videos to spread levity during a hectic time.

Marilyn Schulz, Marvin's wife, moved to Kinship Pointe in February. He joined her a month later – just as various aspects of the state started shutting down for the pandemic. A long-time volunteer and active community member, PeeWee needed an outlet. By August, Kinship Pointe administrators wanted to keep residents connected someway. That's when “PeeWee's Predictions” were born.

Since the initial videos, PeeWee has talked Husker football, Thanksgiving, honored veterans like himself, dressed for Halloween and hosted Election Day specials. He's also performed as a character akin to the old “Carnac the Magnificent” character performed by Nebraska native Johnny Carson.

In his latest videos, PeeWee discussed Christmas. In his PeeWee's Predictions video on Dec. 1 he talked about hectic Christmas events before asking Marilyn for her Christmas List. PeeWee's then given a list printed on toilet paper. The list itself includes a ruby necklace and robe, but PeeWee's attention stays on the material.

“Why did you write your list on such a hot commodity like this?” he asked. “Don't worry, we'll recycle it.”

That video ended with PeeWee reminding viewers of the holiday's meaning, lifting a Christmas present to show a desk-sized nativity scene.

In the Dec. 3 video he hosted “PeeWee's Shop” with Christmas gift ideas.

There's a slipper with a medical cover wrapped to its bottom. PeeWee quipped that the salesman told said the slippers were alligator but PeeWee thought that was a croc.

The rest were even more related pandemic-related gifts like dual moisturizer and sanitizer, a robe, a cap, gloves and face coverings with festive designs. PeeWee modeled a red-nosed Rudolph mask, a Santa Claus mask and a Frosty the Snowman mask. He also pulled out a pair of N95 masks fixed together to look like a bra.

“I'm a little uneasy where that goes,” he said.

PeeWee then guided viewers to P.W.HappyHolidays.Net to order before signing off with his signature.
