OFFICIAL PROCEEDINGS OF STAPLEHURST April 26, 2022 The following is a condensed form of minutes. A complete copy is on file at the Village Hall. The Staplehurst Village Board held their monthly meeting at 7:00 P.M. at the village hall. Chairman McVey-Blath called the meeting to order and announced the open meeting act and location in the village hall. Roll call was taken with members present: Thompson, Stava, Benedict, McVey-Blath. The following actions were taken: Approved minutes of the March meeting. Approved claims. Approved Women' s club putting in an electronic sign. Ordinance 22-02 pertaining to signs was approved. Discussion was held on ARPA grant revising some of the wording. Lovell asphalt will honor estimate on the streets that was submitted last year. Ordinance 22-03 adopting the 2018 international building code was approved. Approved Core & Main's proposal for Sample Station. The following claims were approved: U.S Post Office 116.00; Taylor's Drain & Sewer 525.00; J Fern supplies 268.13; GPM maintenance 412.00; Farmers Co-op fuel 234.23; NE PHE Lab tests 637.00; Midwest Lab sewer 180.44; Waste Connections garbage 90.32; NNTC gen 57.79; Seward County Independent legal notice 15.95; Black Hills Energy gas 297.44; Constellation Energy 243.69 utilities; Norris PPD electric 1819.63; NE Work tax 146.56; NE Department of Revenue 1st Qtr. 528.06; Greg Damman retainer 250.00; EFTPS general 1191.26; Wages 3658.58; Fern Insurance 400.00; Council meeting wages 2830.00.
