October 5, 2021 COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OFFICIAL PROCEEDINGS Boards of Commissioner Meetings are held each Tuesday morning in the Seward County Courthouse at 9:00 a.m., except for the first Tuesday of each month when meetings will be held at 8:30 a.m. Notice of each meeting is posted on the Courthouse bulletin board and on the Commissioner’s room door. The agenda for all meetings is kept continually current and is available for public inspection at the County Clerk’s Office during normal business hours. The agenda is held open until one business day prior to the meeting for appearance before the Board. The Board has the right to modify the agenda to include items of an emergency nature only at such public meeting. CLAIMS ALLOWED OCTOBER 26, 2021 The Seward County Board of Equalization convened on September 28, 2021, at 8:30 a.m. Present: Chairperson: John Culver Members: Misty Ahmic, Bob Vrbka, Ken Schmieding, Darrell Zabrocki County Clerk: Sherry Schweitzer Officials gave updates of their offices. Jonathan Jank, Executive Director of Seward County Chamber & Development Partnership (SCCDP), gave an update of the organization. Harrison Helmer, Executive Director of BRIDGES, gave an update of the organization. Approved minutes of September 28, 2021. Commissioners gave reports of their activities. Approved creation of Rural Broadband Task Force with Zane Francescato and Jonathan Jank as leaders. Approved the use of the courthouse lawn for the Christmas Festival on November 27, 2021, as presented by Leann Miller of the Seward Christmas Festival Committee. Approved two short form plats in precincts A and B as presented by Becky Paulsen, Weed and Zoning Administrator. Village of Beaver Crossing Trustee, Jerry Zieg, was present to give information and request funds for a Water/Sewer Project. Approved Change Order #6 for the Waverly Road Project as presented by Terry Wicht, Highway Supt., and Mike Oneby, City of Seward Engineer. Discussion was held on disbursement of the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) Funds. Sherry Schweitzer, County Clerk, gave information on ARPA compliance and reporting.
