NOTICE The Regular Meeting of the Board of Education of School District No. 2R, Butler County Nebraska, the School District of East Butler, in the State of Nebraska was convened at the school in Brainard, NE the meeting place of said Board on Monday, January 13, 2025. Attending were Board Members: Megan Kozisek, Ryan Pekarek, Sarah Strizek, Brandon Jisa, Laurie Smaus, and Dylan Spatz. Also present were Mr. Michael Eldridge, Superintendent, Mr. Mark Cidlik, Secondary Principal, and Mr. Shawn Biltoft, Elementary Principal. Motions were made on the following items: 1. Election of Officers: President - Megan Kozisek; Vice-President - Ryan Pekarek; & Secretary - Sarah Strizek 2. Organization of the Board of Education 3. Approved consent agenda: minutes and treasurer’s report 4. Approved proposed bids for 2025 summer projects as presented. 5. Allow Jr. Hi. girls’ wrestling to practice with David City Public School and Shelby-Rising City Public School. 6. Adopted proposed policy updates as presented. 7. Approved property purchase agreement and amend closing date to March 1, 2025. 8. Approved Superintendent’s contract with changes. 9. Approved 2.7% salary increase for Secondary and Elementary Principals for 2025-26 school year. Items Discussed: 1. Brandon Jisa, Megan Kozisek, & Laurie Smaus read and signed the Oath of Office. 2.
