NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING OF THE VILLAGE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF GOEHNER, NEBRASKA Public notice is hereby given by the Chairperson and the Village Board of Trustees of the Village of Goehner, Nebraska, that a public hearing will be held at 7:30 p.m. on August 2, 2022, at the Goehner Fire Hall, 1221 May Street, Goehner, Nebraska, which meeting is open to the public. An agenda for such meeting, kept continuously current, is available for public inspection at the Office of the Village Clerk, at 1140 May Street, Goehner, Nebraska. The purpose of the public hearing is to obtain public comment prior to consideration of: (a) The declaration of an area of the Village as blighted and substandard and in need of redevelopment pursuant to the Nebraska Community Development Law. The Property which is the subject of this public hearing is described as: Point of beginning (POB) is at the intersection of the southern boundary line of the right of way of Holdrege Street and the eastern boundary line of the right of way of 364th Street thence going westerly approximately 1,967 feet; thence northerly approximately 1,378 feet; thence southwesterly approximately 31 feet; thence northwesterly approximately 515 feet; thence northeasterly approximately 490 feet; thence westerly approximately 126 feet; thence northerly approximately 170 feet; thence easterly approximately 185 feet; thence southeasterly approximately 135 feet; thence northeasterly approximately 1,211 feet; thence northerly approximately 117 feet; thence easterly to the eastern boundary line of the right of way of 364th Street; thence southerly to the POB, +/- 112 acres. (b) The adoption of a redevelopment plan for said blighted and substandard area together with the redevelopment project area that is the site of a proposed agricultural processing facility, as defined in Neb. Rev. Stat. §17-405.01. The proposed site of the agricultural processing facility redevelopment project which will utilize tax increment financing is described as follows: Southwest Quarter of Section 21, Township 10 North, Range 2 East of the 6th P.M., Seward County, Nebraska, except that portion more particularly described as follows: Beginning at the west quarter comer of said Section 21; thence southerly on the West line of the Southwest Quarter of said Section 21 a distance of 1,184.1 feet; thence easterly 90 degrees 00 minutes left a distance of 33.0 feet; thence northerly 85 degrees 52 minutes left a distance of 1,126.0 feet; thence easterly 86 degrees 54 minutes right a distance of 2,420.3 feet; thence continuing easterly 12 degrees 16 minutes left a distance of 130.8 feet to the Northeast comer of said Southwest Quarter; thence westerly 167 degrees 02 minutes left and on the North line of said Southwest Quarter a distance of 2,648.7 feet to the point of beginning. All interested parties shall be afforded at such public hearing a reasonable opportunity to express their views regarding the proposed blight and substandard declaration and redevelopment plan.
