NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on Tuesday, April 20, 2021, at 7:00 pm in the Seward Civic Center, 616 Bradford Street, Seward, Nebraska; the City Council will hold a Public Hearing concerning the existing Department of Economic Development (DED) for a Community Development Block Grant project awarded to the City. The City of Seward was awarded $350,000 in 2017 CDBG funds to implement a commercial rehabilitation and facade improvement program. The project meets the national objective of prevention or elimination of slum or blight conditions. Of the CDBG funds, $307,000 was used for Commercial Rehabilitation – Code 0590, $35,000 was used for Project Administrative costs – Code 0181, and $8,000 was used Construction Management – Code 0380. All interested parties are invited to attend this public hearing at which time they will have an opportunity to be heard regarding this project. Written testimony will also be accepted at the public hearing scheduled for 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 20, 2021, at the Seward Civic Center in Seward, Nebraska.
