Norma Jean Duer was born Oct. 23, 1937, near Staplehurst. She was the youngest of seven children born to Howard and Barbara (Wolff) Graham and passed away Aug. 5, 2019, in Lincoln at the age of 81 years, 9 months and 13 days. Norma was raised on the family farm with her six siblings and was proud of her rural heritage. She attended the Richie School and graduated from Seward High School with the class of 1956.

Norma was united in marriage to Carl “Woody” Reinmiller in 1959, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Staplehurst. The couple owned and operated Woody’s Café and Tavern for 15 years and later opened a grocery store in Staplehurst for several years. Norma worked at several places after they closed the grocery store including the sheriff’s office as a dispatcher, Beckler’s Implement and Lee’s Refrigeration until 1993. Norma sold Amway products for many years and also worked at the Staplehurst Post Office before her retirement in 2011. Norma was united in marriage to Fredrick “Fritz” Duer on Sept. 1, 1989, in Staplehurst.

Norma was a longtime member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church and a 50-plus-year member of the Staplehurst Community Club. She enjoyed watching Nebraska Cornhusker sporting events as well as watching her grandchildren in their various activities. Norma loved camping, fishing, gardening and spending time with family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Carl Reinmiller (1986) and Fritz Duer (2015); daughter, Debra Reinmiller (1972); son, Douglas Reinmiller (2011); and sisters, Claudine Carpenter, Faye Carlson and Delois (Jane) McCasland.

Norma is survived by her children, Donna Otte; David and wife Cathi Reinmiller, Tami and husband Marty Clausen, Robert (Bob) and wife Pam Duer and Bryan and wife Dee Duer; nine grandchildren, Troy and wife Michelle Schaefer, Travis and wife Janelle Schaefer, Christian Reinmiller, Jacob Reinmiller and fiancé Emma Pettyjohn, Louis Reinmiller, Nick and wife Liz Clausen, Kurtis and wife Brittany Clausen, Trenton and wife Mae Clausen and Tara and husband Brett Linton; 16 great-grandchildren, Tarra and husband Brian Janitscheck, Trevor Patterson and fiancé Samantha Bovill, Traetyn, Talan and Jeffi Schaefer, Erika, Abigail and Lucille Clausen, Boyd, Kael and Halle Clausen, Branson and Breckham Clausen and Molly Linton; two great-great-grandchildren, Ty and Weston Janitscheck; two sisters, Audrey Kilzer and Elva Lee Wilken; and brother, H. Dean Graham.

A funeral service was held Aug. 10, 2019, at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Staplehurst, with the Rev. Shawn Kitzing and the Rev. David Dobbertein officiating. A graveside service and interment were in the Seward Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Duer family for future designation.
